This was a test I conducted in October 2017, with the goal of finding out which character has the best AI in PoFV. This test was inspired by a similar experiment in PoFV done by u/green_fortune on Reddit. All tests were run on Lunatic in CPU vs CPU mode, and the game was reset in between every match. Matches were best of 3, with 3 points awarded for a 2-0 win, 2 points for a 2-1 win, 1 point for a 1-2 loss, and 0 points for an 0-2 loss. Matches were limited to 30 minutes, however, no match reached this time limit. It's worth noting that this is simply an AI vs. AI test, and isn't necessarily indicitive of which shot type is best.

A notable thing happened during the first attempt at a Reimu vs Rikako match. During the first attempt, a glitch happened where the match ended while Rikako was using a hyper, causing her to keep this hyper forever in the next round until she used another one. She also kept her charge level from the previous round even though hypers are supposed to drain it to zero. The video can be found here.
